Coffee, Community & Connection: Coffee4Heroes at the 2025 Boonah Show

Coffee, Community & Connection: Coffee4Heroes at the 2025 Boonah Show

Over the weekend of 30 - 31 May, Coffee4Heroes proudly rolled up to the Boonah Showgrounds to take part in one of the Scenic Rim’s most cherished annual events - the Boonah Show. And what a weekend it was! With crowds turning out in full force, the community spirit high, and the coffee brewing non-stop, our presence at the show was about more than just showcasing our signature blends - it was about connecting, giving back, and championing local resilience.

From the early hours of Friday to the final moments of Saturday evening, Coffee4Heroes delivered freshly brewed coffee, shared our story, and connected with the amazing people who make Boonah such a vibrant regional community. Here’s a full wrap-up of the experience and why this kind of grassroots engagement is at the heart of everything we do.

A Warm Welcome in the Scenic Rim

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Fassifern Valley, the Boonah Show is a regional institution that brings locals and visitors together to celebrate rural life, family fun, and community pride. From livestock competitions and woodchopping displays to live entertainment and artisan markets, this event had it all - and we were thrilled to be right in the thick of it.

Our mobile Coffee4Heroes set-up was buzzing from the get-go. With the unmistakable aroma of our premium blends floating through the air, it didn’t take long for us to become a crowd favourite. Showgoers stopped by for their caffeine fix, curious about the story behind the brand and eager to support a cause with purpose.

Brewing Coffee With Purpose

At Coffee4Heroes, we don’t just sell coffee - we serve a mission. Every cup poured and every bag sold supports Wounded Heroes Australia, our not-for-profit charity dedicated to helping current and former ADF members and their families during times of crisis. Being at the Boonah Show gave us a powerful platform to share that mission in person.

For many locals, the connection to military service is personal. Veterans, serving members, and their families stopped by to share their own stories and to thank us for the work we do. In turn, we were deeply humbled to hear about their experiences and proud to be a small part of a broader network of support.

It reminded us that coffee is more than a product - it’s a conversation starter. It’s a way to build bridges, spark connection, and offer comfort. Every person who walked away with a steaming cup of Coffee4Heroes also walked away knowing they were backing something bigger than themselves.

Community4Heroes in Action

As part of our Community4Heroes program, we also used the Boonah Show to connect with local community groups and introduce them to a way they can raise funds simply by drinking great coffee. Through Community4Heroes, 5% of every purchase made by a registered community group goes straight back to them - no extra work required.

This initiative sparked interest from schools, sports clubs, and service organisations alike. We had dozens of conversations with local groups about how they can partner with us to create a steady, simple fundraising stream without the usual sausage sizzles or raffle ticket hustle.

We’re already looking forward to seeing some Boonah-based groups come on board in the coming weeks. Because when communities support communities, everyone wins.

The Buzz Was Real

Aside from the meaningful conversations and fundraising opportunities, there was one thing that truly stood out - the buzz around our coffee! Our signature blends flew out the door, and we had multiple return customers coming back for a second (and third) round. Whether it was a smooth flat white or a bold long black, our expertly roasted brews hit the spot for early risers and late-night revellers alike.

We even had a few folks cheekily ask if we were staying open after hours. When you’ve got farmers, woodchoppers, and families all queueing up for your coffee, you know you’re doing something right!

Our team had an absolute blast chatting with locals, handing out samples, and offering info about our online store and subscription options. By the end of the weekend, dozens of new customers had signed up to have our coffee delivered straight to their door - a perfect reminder that regional communities are hungry (and thirsty!) for purpose-driven brands they can believe in.

Spotlight on Our ‘Free Coffee for a Year’ Raffle

One of the highlights of the weekend was our hugely popular ‘Free Coffee for a Year’ promotion. Visitors to our stand had the chance to enter the raffle - with the winner set to enjoy a full year’s supply of Coffee4Heroes on us. It was a hit with the crowd, and we saw hundreds of entries from keen coffee lovers hoping to score the ultimate prize.

We’ll be drawing winners at upcoming major events, including our special Father’s Day celebration later this year. Stay tuned - the next lucky winner might just be someone from Boonah!

Looking Ahead

Our experience at the Boonah Show reaffirmed exactly why we do what we do. Regional events like these are the heartbeat of our communities - they bring people together, celebrate shared values, and remind us that every small business has the power to make a big impact.

Whether it was pouring a perfect latte, sharing a laugh with a local family, or signing up a new community group to our fundraising program, we walked away from the weekend energised, inspired, and deeply grateful.

We want to extend a huge thank you to the Boonah Show Society for hosting such a seamless, vibrant event - and to everyone who stopped by our stand, chatted with us, bought a bag of beans, or simply enjoyed a coffee with purpose.
